下北沢に新しい風を吹かすべく誕生した麦酒屋 風乗りメリー
どこか懐かしく親しみをおぼえる街でありながら、
開発も進み、多種多様な飲食店が並ぶ街。下北沢。
そんな下北沢に「新しい風を吹かす」をコンセプトに
ビアバーうしとらの元スタッフ中野氏が
オープンした麦酒屋「風乗りメリー」のロゴと看板をnide Inc.がデザインしました。
制作するにあたり、中野氏が好きだという日活映画の世界観を基軸に、
麦酒屋として1人でも行きやすく親しみやすい、
だけど少し毒を効かせた印象を持たせています。
看板は夜になるとピンク色に怪しく光るブリリアントピンクを採用。
下北沢を訪れる人々の目を引くデザインとして成功しました。
A Beer Bar is Born to Bring a Fresh Breeze to Shimokitazawa Kazenori Merry
A town that gives off feelings of nostalgia and affection even as it continues to grow, its streets lined with a huge variety of places to eat. Shimokitazawa. Kazenori Merry, a beer bar conceived to "blow a fresh breeze" into Shimokitazawa and opened by former Beer Bar Ushitora staff member Nakano, had its logo and sign designed by nide Inc.
When it came time to make the designs, we used as our yardstick the perspective of Nikkatsu films, of which Nakano said he is fond. The designs give the impression that it's a beer bar one can easily enter alone and feel comfortable, while also having a bit of a sting to them.
The sign uses brilliant pink when lit up at night, making its pink color shine in a shadier fashion.
Design-wise, it has been successful in catching the eye of those visiting Shimokitazawa.
